On Day three in Honors we:
- Turned in our flower and seed dissection lab to the box
- Took notes on roots and stems
- Watched part of "Private life of plants-putting down roots"
For Friday, be prepared to go outside for a little bit (i.e. don't wear high heels, have a sweatshirt handy...we will only be outside for 20 min max)
Tuesday
In Honors Bio on Tuesday we:
- Stamped the flower coloring on our assignment logs
- Turned in the moss and fern investigation lab to the box
- Worked on the Flower and Seed dissection lab (see Ms. H, this needs to be made up after school this week due to the perishable nature of the materials)
- Please read 23-4 and 23-5 for Wednesday.

2. E.O. Wilson on saving life on Earth
3. James Watson on discovering DNA
4. Deborah Gordon: How do ants know what to do?
Write a one-page response including examples from the lecture that will demonstrate to me how this information has enriched your views on Biology and life as we've learned it.
If you have a current C, D, or F: Complete "The Great Plant Escape" assignment and return to me.
BOTH extra credit assignments are due by no later than May 2nd.

Day 3 in honors we started the moss and fern life cycle lab. If you miss Friday, plan to spend a little bit of time after school on Monday (20-30 min) to finish up.

-got back formal lab reports (milk bacteria lab) graded

Took "plant intro" notes- concept map form. See a friend to get the notes, big maps will be in the make-up work bin.

Science Fair Results
Jon Haas: third place ribbon
Chelsea Lindemulder: third place ribbon
Glynis Bawden: Second Place Ribbon
Bessie Ish: 1st place ribbon and trophy, scholarship to Ohio Wesleyan University!
GREAT job to all who participated! It was a nice trip even though our hotel was a little iffy. Jon watched the discovery channel all night before the fair to prepare...or just to relax!
